This is the oldest know redwood tree still standing in the San Francisco East Bay. Every other tree from that era has since been cut down by logging, mostly between 1845-1860. I became interested in this tree after reading an article in the SF Chronicle by Peter Fimrite. The footage was shot using a remote controlled helicopter using a GoPro Hero3 camera. Sorry about the jello effect on the footage. May have been a bit too windy. Cheers!
