So, Southside Skatepark was lucky enough to get the only Qualifier in Texas and surrounding states for the DC "King of Chicago" Finals. It really brought out some of the best in the region and everyone turned their skateboarding way up during the open heats and closed five man finals. We tried to keep the qualifier as similar in format as the King of Chicago Finals. So we opted for a five person ten minute jam on both the granite ledges and five stair with outledge. We believe that this helped make absolutely sure that Drake Flores, the winner of the qualifier, had the best of both worlds and would be able to crush it on behalf of Texas at the King of Chicago Finals on October 10-11.
