Crealde’ School of Art is a community-based art school in winter Park Florida. It started in 1975 and it offers the community means to study art from various artists. The school continues to showcase local artists during the Crealde’ exhibition and for over 20 years, artists have had the chance to display their work to the community. Curator Rick Lang is a faculty member here at Crealde. He has been teaching here 22 years and also taught at Valencia and Daytona state college. He has chosen three photographers to exhibit their works. The artists are showing various ways to represent the world around them. They are Richard McCabe from New Orleans, Beth Reynolds from St. Petersburg, Florida and Frank Dienst from Mims, Florida.
Richard McCabe is displaying his series of photographs called “Lost Highways”, which are photographs of different places on the highways. His specialty is color photographs taken with a Holga camera. Beth Reynolds is by contrast, displays a series of pictures taken from her mother’s home in St. Petersburg. She is showing personals objects of her mother. Frank Dienst is displaying his work from a selection of his Bromoil prints. His work is all in black and white. The exhibition took place at the Alice & William Jenkins Gallery.
