The problem I've come across with custom ringtones is this.

If it's an excerpt of a song I love, I'll get tired of it and will stop wanting to listen to that (full) song.

If it's a song I don't really like (like those you shared) well, it will annoy me more every time it plays than it will annoy other people, because most people will enjoy those popular tunes.

So I'm back at one of the default “normal” ones and I just wish we could get some new and better ones on iTunes.

I just use Bananphone, by Raffi. I bought it from the iTunes store but you can't turn it into a ringtone unless you use Garageband and export a short clip of it.

I just keep my iPhone on vibrate 95% of the time, so it's always a welcome surprise when I accidentally have the sound on and a call comes and you hear "ring ring ring ring ring ring ring....BANANAPHONE!"

The answer is, of course, it depends.

Ringtones are all about context. For example: Family gathering with elderly relatives? "Da Dip" without question. Night out with the brosephs? I'd go with "Like a Prayer"

My favorite workplace-inappropriate ringtone (for the Yahoo Sports office, btw) was a custom loop that I created from Baby Got Back, the part where he goes "UH DOUBLE UP! UH UH!" over and over, full volume.
