1. What is Fyreball?
Fyreball is a rich and playful alternative to email for sending stuff to your friends. It's being developed by a team of game industry veterans, internet addicts and Spartan warriors. We think Fyreball will be a great way to track, send and receive cool content on the web.

The ghostbuster-esque trap effect is a nice touch. It makes me wonder what will happen when Fyreball's containment system reaches critical mass. :)

Hehe thanks! As long as the EPA doesn't try to cut our power everything should remain safe and secure.

I don't get it...I understand the concept and I like it, but in the video it says basically "People just share things by emailing/IMing them links..." but, what about facebook? I "share" links, videos, games, etc. on there quite easily and it gets to all of my friends. I just don't see how this concept will compete with like facebook or (insert other social network)

Facebook is definitely another way people, myself included sometimes, share content. (We're actually developing a facebook app too, by the way.) When it comes down to it though none of those systems - email, im, facebook - are really setup to do a great job of sharing stuff and making it easy to pass on to others and discuss. Ultimately we hope Fyreball will let anyone quickly share across any of those systems.

Wow this is definitely a cool idea I know I can think of numerous times when me and my friends send links back and forth and go crazy. I'll def try this out and tell my friends about it. Oh and btw I'm not worried about critical mass it's the crossing of the streams that scares me.

Cool - if you've had a chance to check out Fyreball and have some feedback, let us know!

We will try to avoid crossing the streams unless we absolutely have to.

By inviting them! : ) If you aren't a member yet you can sign up at fyreball.com/beta, and then either invite friends from within the site or send them that link. Nice name by the way.

I'm not a memeber yet, I'm hoping to get into the beta. However, from what I've heard news is spreading fast about you guys and my brothers love it. Hope to be on and sharing soon.

I was invited to the beta a while back, and at first didn't realize what Fyreball was. So I kind of forgot about it (even though I've been getting daily emails.) Anyways, I got an email asking me to take a survey, which piqued my interest again, and after seeing this video I have to say THANK YOU. I definitely see the use for this service over other social networks, and that single video has me trying all the different tools. Thanks!
