The plot is more complex than it sounds. It is about the repression (by an authoritarian government) of Souls Rifters, mutants affected by an illness that force them to kill humans in order to survive. Of course, normal human beings resent them and rightfully so. How could the Soul Rifters claim their right to live, when they’re considered as a threat by humanity?
To defend the weak is easy, but to take a stand in the name of evil requires strenght.
