This was a test of the new Panasonic HMC40 3MOS video camera at DV Expo (shot September 24, 2009). The gain was started at 0dB and increased by 3dB, for each step until +24dB, to see what the noise level looked like for each gain setting. The setting on the camera was 720/60p at 1/60 shutter.

The native AVCHD MTS file was then converted to mp4 for uploading and the increase in compression noise due to the conversion was minor.
