In search of waves, we head off to Isabela.
We had a long and tiresome journey going there. Most of us came from Manila which makes it 5 hours to Baler + 5 hours to Dilasag + 13 hours wait, being stuck on a boat day 'til night + 8 hours sea travel at night time.
When we got there, there were no waves in front of where we were staying.
Travelling again by boat, we went to see the provincial Mayor sitting pretty like a boss.
He said that there were no waves during the time and that he was so sure about it.
What a dismay, we thought. But we needed to find where the waves are, that's what we came for.
We travelled another 1 hour and 30 minutes to Tita Mary's, who generously fed us with a scrumptious feast.
On our way back, it took us another 20 minutes of boat ride to find the waves we so longed for.
No waves? Search again. Good waves come to the children of the tides.
The waves captured here is only the back view of the point, far from the boat, in the middle of the ocean.
Indeed, we are the lucky 9.
