Seventh and last test-video from my Nikon D90. This is all shoot on D90 with my custom curve I called "Vision2 5229" named after the Kodak stock. Of course it doesn’t look something like that, but I just tried to find that low contrast look that the 5229 have. Its random clips filmed over five month time. Filmed on location in Sweden in Malmö, Göteborg, Värmland and Skåne.

Nikon D90
Handheld / Tripod
Old Nikkor Primes

Nikon actual has a very nice picture quality with good balance of colors and exposure range. If they would only have manual control i would get one.
  • Ron Adair plus 2 years ago
Haha, those were the days. When you where holding out for a Nikon. And now they're gone. Great memories.
  • DSLRcinema plus 2 years ago
haha...yeah and I am not feeling too nostalgic for those days either...not looking back man!

    Very beautiful clips, edits.
Especially love the slow movement of the wind farm with audio. (& sequence of sun going behind trees/rain streaks on window)
Pleased also to learn that Wesley from The Princess Bride is still alive & youthful ;-)>

I spelled it incorrectly(!) I thought @3:18 has tremendous resemblance to this character with moustache from a 1980's film:

  • Martin Lang plus 2 years ago
Thanks sunnydyz! But I'm afraid I can't help you with that. But try out yourself and try to flatten the curve.

    wowo....very very nice...
but I have a question, is it ok to use someone music as bgm? I have some video mixed with some favorite song, but I concern about the copyright and just stopping me to share my video.
  • Martin Lang plus 2 years ago
    Thanks!

In this case they approved it afterwords and they liked it. I almost always use indie rock music where the bands isn't so big and therefore the video is more of an commercial fore them...

    Martin that was great.
I am very new to video and videos like yours act as a great inspiration.

Is there somewhere that you can direct me (like a tutorial) so that i can learn how to have those beautiful flashy transitions?

Also is your custom curve available to the public?

thanks a lot for that video mate. Its very nice
  • Martin Lang plus 2 years ago
Thanks I'm glad I can inspire people! :) But I don't have the time to learn other what I do for a living. Al the software is listed in the info and go to dvxuser.com to learn more about digital video. // Martin Lang

  • Viktor Pettersson 2 years ago
riktigt bra edit!
  • Martin Lang plus 2 years ago
Tack Viktor. Visst går det att låsa den exponeringen. Men vill du ha en dslr för att filma med är inte D90 optimal!
  •
  • Viktor Pettersson 2 years ago

Hi Brennan. I have tried to solved this problem but I can't get it working properly. But if you right click and click "download linked file" it should work just fine!
