    this was a great clip. I really enjoyed it. One thing I would add to improve the believability is add a shadow to the center cup. Notice its the only one without a shadow (or a very faint shadow compared to the other two). As a compositor, this is a glaring problem that can easily be fixed.

    The lens we used was a standard 25mm, each background object was doubled or halved in size so that they would line up even at different depths. You can see the objects and their replica's here flickr.com/photos/43038809@N02/

    Like Charlie I am curious how you got some of the objects to appear uncut. Due to perspective you would need different size halves, which is entirely possible, but for things like the stereo that would be a bunch of work!

    Also... did you have a printer on location for the center cup? My imagination is tingling.

    The stereo was indeed the most complicated object to replicate, we manually produced it at twice the size. You can see pictures of each object and its replica here flickr.com/photos/43038809@N02/
    You are also correct with the printer, it was on location and we calibrated the colours onset for a perfect match.

    From the staert, the whole thing looks really CG - as if the whole set is composited layers of cg models and the hands shot on a blue screen... Why has it ended up looking like that?
