This clip shows the production process from storyboards to game engine for an 'in-game' cutscene for Hour of Victory, produced at Act3 and directed by Cameron Crichton.
The first stage is stick figure thumbnails (not shown), then client ready storyboards (in this instance not done by me), then 3d layout in Maya. We then shoot motion capture performance, wrangle it in Motion Builder and put it back together in Maya - notice the lack of hand animation. A keyframe pass is done on the characters and the results are imported into the Unreal game engine (it has a clunky cinematic editor called Matinee).
