There is something you vaguely remember when you visit these places. Almost as though you've been here before, a Deja vu. There is an opportunity to be in the midst of silence. We can finally hear ourselves and a voice inside tells us to stop thinking so much. We are having a connection, a meditation with vast nature. Pure, harsh and sweet.
When we give in to the sweeping grandeur of these high desert refuges, we may leave an altered person, a better person. It's a choice we can make and sometimes when we do...a decency so long missplaced, suddenly appears in our hearts, in our spirits. We are home.
