The year 6 students from Gems Hampshire school have created a progressive imaginative series of animated images exploring the ideas of positive and negative: Ying and Yang. This animation film was inspired by the work of Sergei Vasiliev and Anna Parkina at the Saatchi Gallery. The students created their own collection of images and meanings in response to the Russian artists' work building from simple B/W drawings to coloured collages using found print images and text. The viewer is taken on a journey from stern eyes representing ambition to Neptune's trident representing cruelty culminating in a positive vision for the future.
