Planning is a good thing... until we forget to include God in our plan! God warns in James 4:13-15, "Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that."
Lynne had her life planned out and her "ship" was sailing in balmy waters. God wasn't much of a consideration until... a man with a gun walked up to her and explained that he needed her purse more than she did, until a daughter's life-changing medical emergency stunned the whole family and until a failing marriage and then the sudden and unexpected death of her husband brought the deepest of heartaches. Then came her own debilitating health issues.
None of us plan for these kinds of life-challenges, yet challenges come! Lynne's story tells how God worked to bring her comfort and hope, and even joy, through some of life's darkest moments.
Watch and Wonder!

The "Wonder Video Project" at Central Baptist Church was commissioned by Pastor John Waterloo in November 2012 and finished in April 2013. The project consists of eight testimonies in seven videos that highlight the WONDER of God's grace and how through His grace He has worked in the lives of His people at CBC. The project will highlight and help support our 2013 theme, "The Wonder of it All".
We corporately pray that these testimonies will bring honor and glory to our Great Triune God, Creator of Heaven and Earth. He has, through the sacrifice of HIs Incarnate Son, not only made a way for all men to inherit eternal life but He also is able to redeem our physical lives and make it possible for sinful creatures to serve and worship Him! "Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 1 Timothy 1:17
