We, Nicolas Mainville and Jena Webb, have been studying contamination in the Andean Amazon since 2001. We have grown to love the area and the people who have so considerately opened their homes and their lives to us. The contamination in the rivers worries us and we feel that part of the solution to the current situation is to expose it. You will find a film on this site which summarizes our research findings and highlights our last trip to the area in which we presented the results of our research to the communities in the form of a play.
You will also find a more detailed document (informe) with the research results (in Spanish only) and a page with references on research articles published on a variety of topics in the study area (recursos).
