Und die beschweren sich am wenigsten über diesen Hype. Im Übrigen hat jede Kultur Tendenzen entweder populärer zu werden oder sich in die gegensätzliche Bewegung zu bewegen. Man kann nicht annehmen, dass nachdem man Teil dieser Kultur geworden ist, dass keiner mehr dazu kommt.
Zugegeben, der Typ ("Henne") scheint zu versuchen, alles was zu dieser Kultur zugehörig ist, auf sich zu vereinen, aber vielleicht ist er einfach nur ein Mensch, der seine Leidenschaft gefunden hat und diese wahrhaftig und ergeben lebt. Who knows?

Also, ich bitte um mehr Respekt auch für die sog., vermeintlichen Hipster, die letztendlich den ersten Zugang zu einem Hobby, einer Freizeitbeschäftigung und letztlich zu einer Kultur suchen.

With elementary school physics skills you should be able to deduct that backpedalling can't achieve the same efficiency as proper brakes. Simple. Sure - you can still stop the bike in decent time, but to say that it is more efficient is utter bullshit.

And about trusting your cable brake, well, I've never seen a well maintained cable brake snap, not to even speak about two cables snapping at the same time.

And before you embark on a crusade against me - yes I ride fixed - both with brakes and without brakes. With brakes I can ride faster because I don't have to play with the lady luck.

I can't know, what you do for a living, but I study some special Engineering and just because of the internet you can treat "the guy before you" like a child. Wow.. Super.
But what if I say, that a Scissors wont get the same Force like your weight to the ground? And thus the stopping mechanics aren't your low basic physics course?
Anyway. I don't say, that it outrules a normal brake, but should, with another, considered as functional, and not just ignored.
I don't talk about some street guys, who maintain their bikes well, but some guys around 40, who just take the old bike in their garage and run like there would be no tomorrow. Good maintainance is; at least to me; a pro for fixed riders.

And yes, I know its dangerous. And yes, I ride a brake too, just imagine that?!

This seems like a useless conversation to go on in general. I think you can't decide this for all bikes.
