In the summer of 1763 a Dutch ship and it's 105 men sailed for the coast of Oman. In foggy weather they hit choppy waters and sank with the loss of 75 lives...

The 30 survivors had to walk hundreds of miles across the killer sands of the Omani desert, one of the hottest and emptiest places on earth. They had no water, no food and got 'burned' by the sun. When they happened to meet Bedouin people, they were either helped or robbed and killed.

Now exactly 250 years later, the diary of Cornelis Eyks, one of the men who survived, is discovered.

Abdelkader Benali is a Dutch writer and an expert on the great European explorers and travelers, who discovered the world.
He had a burning desire to re-trace the steps of Cornelis Eyks, using this old diary.
With an expedition crew of maritime archeologists, historians and specialists, Benali is searching the desert and the bottom of the sea.
Will the Benali expedition find traces of Eyks? Will he manage to experience what Eyks once felt? And... will he find the wreck of the ship?
