This is my attempt at learning to rig from scratch in Houdini, this is the second rig I've built in H. The rig shows a couple of things, FK/IK in the arms, IK in the legs, knee/poll vector for the leg IK, Some custom stuff was done for the back spines and the hip tubes to get them to deform correctly. For the hip tubes there are bones following a curve, which in turn get modified based on the position of nulls that attached to the body mesh via Rivet objects. I first tried rigging this in Messiah, but couldn't figure out how to deal with the hip tubes very well there without a lot of hassle. Rigging it in H was a lot less hassle and provided more control overall.
Another feature in the rig is the built ability to mirror poses, either to flip from side to side, or copy from R to L, or L to R.
