An initial case-study proposed by the creative agency Booreiland requested a multidisciplinary design team to explore and develop a meta-product capable of supporting social behavior both online and offline. The result of the study proposed a wearable device for kids containing a small avatar with the ability to transform its appearance based upon the social ties of its owner. By exchanging body parts with peers, the avatar embodied real-life friendships through its appearance.
The video contains footage of the initial field testing of some of the gaming elements embedded within the design. The goal of this particular game was to search for friends nearby steered by guiding signals coming from the prototype.
