An example of the new HD HERO's 960p (1280x960) HD resolution. 960p is a 4:3 aspect ratio, which means you're going to see 25% more top/bottom viewing area than you do with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratios. In this case you get to see a lot of the bike beneath the rider...more of the trail passing below the rider, and a better sense of speed and immersion than you'd get from a 16:9 aspect ratio, which would show 25% less top/bottom view.

And notice the awesome sound. Just enough wind sound to let you know you're jamming. Good luck getting sound this good from any other wearable camera :-)
