‘When I came to the UK my first work was in a car wash...
I would get only £25 a day.’ In the UK, there are many employers that offer work to migrants who may not be able to find other work. Frequently these workers are paid as little as £1.50 per hour, for long days. This film explores how and why this happens through a series of interviews and
archive footage.
