Community Health initiatives provide education and training to individuals and communities to promote health and prevent disease. As new churches are planted, people are trained to take responsibility for promoting physical, spiritual, and social change, seeking God's will for their community. Focus areas include sanitation, safe water, nutrition, oral health, and prevention of conditions such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, back injuries, eye infections, and more. Community Health initiatives can be chosen to meet the needs of the specific communities you will be visiting, and the resources are designed to be easily incorporated into any type of mission trip. Participants do not need to have any medical or healthcare background. This type of training can serve to open doors for people to hear the most important information of all, the Gospel.
