ʻAha Kāne 2006 was the first Native Hawaiian Menʻs Health Conference that was held at Kamehameha Schools, Ka Pālama campus. The gathering focused on male roles and responsibilities while addressing the issues of Native Hawaiian male leadership by focusing on the cultural history and role of Native Hawaiian men in the past, present, and future. This 3-day conference included cultural workshops on lomilomi, ‘ai pono, la‘au lapa‘u, lua, hula, ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i, and mahi‘ai. This video highlights some of the many conference workshops.
