Hard work = Good Work!
That’s the simple mantra to follow, I believe.
Speaking about this project! Honestly, I never ever thought of that I’ll get to work with Jack Hollingsworth, an international photographer of high repute with experience of 30 years.
It all started with the launch of iPhone 5, when Jack came to India to meet my mentor Mr. Manav Lohia, Director imagedb.com, with a simple idea to capture the incredible India with iPhone 5.
In the times, when everybody believes in capturing the moments with high-end DSLR’s, Jack wanted to shoot only with iPhone 5. This was something different.
So, we started our journey to cover the Incredible India through the 8-megapixel camera of the world’s most expensive phone, not camera.
Experience was incredible - a lightweight, handy and ultrafast camera, along with portable chargers to keep the battery intact, different lenses and journey to the capture colors, culture, people and their lifestyle in the most exotic locations across India.
For me, it was truly incredible!
Our first destination was Pushkar, where we worked for 4 days, then to Agra, Delhi & finally Nagaland for hornbill festival.
What I experienced was, even at an angle difference of point degrees, Jack use to take a shot. And each and every new shot looked spectacular, and unique from the previous one.
In total we shot over 25000 images.
The whole idea behind the edit, done by me, was to portrait the journey with some Indian flavor. In short I had to play around with 7000 pictures. Jack gave me full liberty to play with it and I still remember his words ’Hey DK(he used to call me) just make the video awesome & that’s what I did.
