A fun experiment to see how Sydney cyclists ride to work in the winter.
Winter can be tough - but in Sydney we're pretty lucky. Can factors like daylight savings, colder weather, rain and darker mornings affect peoples route decisions and motivation to ride. How do we connect from one population centre to another? Do we commuter cyclists use shared path infrastructure or do we prefer to ride on roads with fast and heavy moving traffic along the most direct routes?
Each cyclist has their own preferences when it comes to riding to work. We want to visualise these preferences.
Thanks to all the wonderful Sydney cyclists who took part in the winter rideable project - there's lots more data to emerge so please stay tuned on rideable.org.au
