I love this one. They let the poetry of the song come through---all the melancholy. I love Cohen, but sometimes his demeanor can get in the way of his poetry. (Please don't jump on me---I love Cohen too--he's just a really fine poet and I find myself paying more attention to his clothes and hats than his lyrics)
I liked just listening to the lyrics---it made me cry. That's real art---real feeling.
This band did a wonderful job with this song.

Tried to buy this at my last little independent record store in town. the staff told me all this might eventually be released in some kind of compilation or the songs may be released through mpgs on the site. I also bookmark Beck's site if it's released there. I'll keep looking. I do hope he will consider it. I live in a cottage most of the time with no computer and can only 'visit' these songs when I get to use a computer.
