After work it was snowing, my son and i took the dog (Venus) for a walk.

Shot with the Xacti HD1000
Settings were 720/60fps
Set to Snow/Beach mode (cloudy) settings everything else was Auto.

Note: this video was shot with poor light, i could have messed around with the ISO but left Auto and i think it has produced a great image!

Nice job, better then the hg10 shot in same environment, and it was in low light conditions! I like your balance between music and sound from camcorder. Although as someone else said, it could have been vimeo's choice of decoding the hg10 that was the fault. But vimeo gets your footage from sanyo camcorder right , I guess different codecs.

Thank you for uploading this. It has very much helped in my decision making.

The 60fps definitely looks, in my eyes, much smoother than all the other 30fps HD videos from consumer cams. And, to me, the results from the poor lighting conditions is very good indeed!

This is very important to me as, being a dog trainer/behaviourist, I need to take primarily videos of dogs. Also, since here in Hong Kong it's very frequently hazy/smoggy, we seldom have good sunlight.

Thanks again for your most helpful video David.

I've bought the HD1000! Thanks again for helping me in my decision - I'm very pleased with it so far.

Your WA lens looks most useful. Next thing on my shopping list!

And very much looking forward to your HD1000 channel David!

How did you add background music to the video with street sounds? What program was used to incorporate the background music? Thanks.
