A cinematic poem to my daughter and my city from my caring wife and me.
The resilience that exists in the fabric and architecture of a city scape is not for our generation, but the next.
I've chosen to raise my family in a city with honest scars of post industrialization and a media image of joblessness and crime. But much like the joy that follow labor pains, what I've seen in Detroit is more than abandoned buildings or stats. The same message of failure the world has learned to believe as truth has inspired a generation of Detroit's citizens consisting of doers, artists and leaders to rebuild.
The horizon between city set and city rise dawns now.
Draft until further notice.
