The Kissing Booth is a Pretty Extreme interactive sound installation designed for the Figment Festival 2013 in New York City.
FIGMENT is a free, family-friendly participatory arts event held in multiple cities and attracting tens of thousands of participants each year. FIGMENT is an explosion of creative energy, a celebration of participatory art and culture where everything is possible. FIGMENT celebrates an abundance of creativity and passion, challenging artists and our communities to find new ways to create, share, think, and dream.
FIGMENT began in July 2007 as a free, one-day participatory arts event on Governors Island in New York Harbor with over 2,600 participants. Since then, FIGMENT has grown significantly each year. In 2012 FIGMENT hosts events in 7 cities: Jackson (MS), NYC, Boston, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cedar Rapids (IA), and Washington DC, as well as the interactive exhibits on NYC’s Governors Island from June through September. Currently in its seventh year, FIGMENT is a non-commercial, de-commodified, environmentally-responsible event. Nothing is sold at FIGMENT and no one makes a profit. There are no corporate sponsors.
