1. My Journey to a VBAC
This is the story that details the traumatic cesarean birth of my first daughter Dylyn and the journey of becoming a Doula, Childbirth Educator & Midwife in it's aftermath. It ends with the Home Water Birth of my son River.

That was great- I am planning a VBAC with #3 (one vaginal, one c-section) and your story was so motivating. Thank you so much for sharing- we can do ANYTHING!

Truly inspiring, I was sobbing! As a midwife whose life work is to provide parents with the best and safest advice on all midwifery issues (breastfeeding and baby skincare are my specialist subjects) I have also experienced four VBACs (one weighing over 12lbs!) after a very traumatic emergency section.
I will be linking to your excellent video on my next TIPS newsletter which I hope will help spread this wonderfully moving film to an even wider audience
    Congratulations!!!
    Kindest regards

  • One of the most beautiful, inspiring birth video's I have ever seen! It touches me in a way that I can not describe, as the c-section trauma happened to me....which in turn led to to nursing school, becoming a breastfeeding counselor and learning how to teach childbirth education, a DONA doula workshop, and now a home birth midwifery course!!! I am in love....and wish I had to option to have another baby at the moment (I'm a single mom and have no one to have a baby with! LOL) I pray to have a baby soon, and I pray for a VBAC!

Thanks for your story! I have watched it like 5 times already, and I cry every time! ;)

Such a beautiful and inspiring story. Congratulations on conquering your fears and birthing your gorgeous babe at home. I have one question. The scar on the top of your stomach, is that your ceaser scar or something else?

amazingly beautiful! this is from a 4 time vbac mama...luckily for me my csection wasn't too traumatizing, i had an amazing midwife who took care of me and told me "there was NO reason why I could not have a successful vaginal birth next time"...so very thankful for that seed that was planted as I went on to VBAC four more times...the most recent being july 31 of 2009....a 10lb baby who was NOT my largest VBAC! :o) blessings to you! thank you for sharing your story!

    Hi Lindsey...
It's such an inspiring vbac video! I'm 29+ weeks pregnant and preparing for a waterbirth vbac.. my caesarean was traumatising.. 36th week premature rupture of membrane and cervix fail t dilate after induction/augmentation.. worse..after the ops cause me to have my wound gap opened.. and my son was whisked away to the special care nursery..causing us to be separated for 3 days. so wish me all the best in my next birth.
