This video was created by Annabell Wanjiku, Edlyne Akumu, Irene Esonga, James Ekwam Chemose, Francis Kathae as part of the "6 hour movie" workshop at USANII LAB Nariobi in May 2013.
The goal of the excercise was to introduce the participants to film production and visual language by doing a short movie out of a nonsensical script.
The script itself was created in an improvisational excercise by the group, where everyone adds only one word to the story thus removing himself from authorship. A script generated in such a way has often little sense to it, allowing the students to create their own visual language instead of copying learned concepts of storytelling.
Each short movie was concieved, filmed, cut and dubbed by USANII LAB students under supervision of Michael Rybakov, a guest lecturer from the Karlsruhe University of Art and Design.
