The smart walker was one of the Rochester Institute of Technology's Muilti-Disciplinary Design Projects. Eleven Students spent just 22 weeks to design and manufacture the walker in this video. Using an on board computer and Microsoft Kinect the walker can see and avoid object. The hopes is that the walker will someday be able to find a patient who is in need of there walker when it is not near by.

Although not featured the walker can also take temperature, heart rate as well as determine if a user is tending to lean left or right.
