King of the Alps 2013

King of the Alps (KOA) is a single day event packed with kayak races, party and loads of fun. It's a part of the Italian national extreme kayaking circuit, sponsored by Exo Kayak (http://www.exokayak.com). KOA is based on 3 different races: a 7km marathon that qualifies the first 32 kayakers for a boater cross and, at last, an open biathlon (paddling+running).

KOA takes place in Meran, a wonderful city in the north of Italy. Every year, paddlers from all over the world come to challenge each other for the titles of King and Queen of the Alps.
