Na-Me-Res is a social agency that works with aboriginal men that are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Providing temporary shelter and guidance with traditional Native culture as its core and inspiration, it is a hub for the community.

Each year Na-Me-Res organizes a pow wow at Wells Hill Park to celebrate Canada's National Aboriginal Day and also as a form of out reach. Along with art, craft and story telling, one highlight of the day is the traditional Native Dance segment. This video captures the opening or 'Welcome Dance' beginning with the Head Dancers entrance, leading the others into the circle.

Host Drummers: Smoke Trail
Head Dancers: Stephanie Pangowish and Ej Kwandibens
Elder: Alex Jacobs
Eagle Staff Carrier: Bernard Nelson
