On Sunday, 4th October, 2009 the first animal service was held to mark Animal Welfare Sunday, coinciding with the Feast of St Francis of Assisi. The service was taken by the Rector, the Revd Nicholas Maddock, the Organist was Sue Clark, and the animals attending ranged from ponies to corn snakes, dogs to tortoises - and a chicken.
