Along with the whale model animation, this was a small component of Robert Hodgin's latest flocking project. You have to check it out here: vimeo.com/69058934 This demonstrates a simple sinusoidal animation for the bird's flapping wing motion, with manually controlled parameters. (Please excuse the skinning overlap glitch.)
The underlying code is an (in-progress) asset loading, cpu/gpu skinning and animation cinderblock. For this project, it may also have been possible to use animation blending since I've started implementing functionalities related to that, but this simple parametric motion prevailed. More coming soon (after my semester is over!)
