Dan explains the two things the It Gets Better Project has done for the LGBT community.
Dan Savage is an American columnist, author, media pundit and theater director. His syndicated sex-advice column, Savage Love (bit.ly/DSsavlove), appears in several dozen newspapers. Dan and his husband Terry started the It Gets Better Project (bit.ly/IGBproj) in 2010 in an effort to prevent suicide among LGBT youth by having gay adults convey the message that these teens' lives will improve. Dan also writes the SLOG blog (bit.ly/DSslog), produces the Savage Lovecast podcast (savagelovecast.com/), and has a new book, American Savage: Insights, Slights, and Fights on Faith, Sex, Love, and Politics (amzn.to/18JAe6q). He lives in Seattle with his husband and son.
