Made with After Effects cs6, without any external plug-in. I tried to simulate the surface of a fluid using the simplest tool. This was done by manually keying the wave-warp effect. This effects creates periodical functions, that´s why I had to manually manipulate the keyframes in order to get some organic displacement. As far as I know similar effects like Turbulent Displace create non-periodical curves, thus, it´s hard to control the shape of the curve.
Anyway, there is a problem when interpolating the curves, because the lines are no longer vector shapes after applying the wave warp effect. I think that´s why the shapes aren´t sharp enough. I would appreciate any cue to solve this problem. (use Cinema 4D or Particular ;) )
