Sometimes when we get too busy living our lives, we lose focus of our surroundings, and the sounds, sights and smells that make where we're living what they are. For me, living in Japan these past few months, I've experienced many unique sounds, one of which being the announcements at the train station. It may not sound like much, but when you hear these noises and sounds everyday, they start to become part of your memories as much as the people you meet, the places you see, etc. The announcements are fairly simple, but at first I didn't understand everything they said. Over the months, as my japanese has improved, I can now understand the entire announcement, and me and my friends sometimes mock the announcements when we're feeling particularly snarky.
