I find the episodes great to actual learn or refresh things. But it scares me a little bit to see that a designer almost has to be a super hero at his work!

    Hello,

I'm a french design student an I really want to apologize for what we sent you there. Be aware that we don't like him.

    Thats all.

    Farewell.

Well, you can speak for yourself, rednekk. I'm French, and I like Starck.

I've lost touch with France a long time ago, though, and that's for a reason. So maybe you're right, and that proves him right when he says:
    "
French people are a pain in the ass: you make something bad, they say: "It's bad"; you make something good, they say: "Oh, it's bad..."
    "

I'm surprised at the selection Starck makes at this point, he keeps two persons with very bad ideas:

Jess and her unplugging of the planet: that has nothing to do with design and that's totally shortsighted about the effects.

And the guy with the pregnancy kit: that's the typical useless product you make when you have no idea how to put yourself in another's feet. Instant garbage.

The message tee-shirt was low flying indeed, but at least it's a product that could have a little public, and I feel the guy can learn. I could say more or less the same thing about Trevor's impressor and Ana's bin.

I agree about Nebil. I would add that he looks like a real designer -of the kind I don't like. People who make stunning and totally useless things.

I see three interesting people here:

Polly, with the water meter: I'd like to buy one right now.

Helen's container looks like the piece that was missing to make menstrual sponges work comfortably. I wonder if the menstrual cups aren't still a better option, though.

I don't believe too much in Ilsa's recycled fabric: it might be energetically expensive to make and the result might not be very good. Some residues are better left to peacefully degrade. But I like the technical approach, I think she can make useful things in a good environment.

    Great Show! Cheers!

The only thing was... a water meter?

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_meter

I am coming from Sofia, Bulgaria. A not so well developed country making part of EU. However we have water meters in every single house.

It's ridiculous as a design proposal in the XIX century.
We are using so much water everyday. And I am taking part of this world wide usage (just washed the dishes) but Isn't it too late for an "idea" like that. It's already invented. It's just need to be used.

In bulgarian we say " it's like inventing the hot water"

So designers are making every single object. The computer I am writing on, the chair I am sitting... etc. The show was explaining how designers are really responsible for the objects in our daily life.

So designers. You need to change the World. It's your responsibility.

Yah but water meters are stuck behind a closet in the basement next to the spiders and cobwebs, she explicitly said to make it a beautiful product that people will proudly hang up for display.

Nebil is a ponce; an arrogant ponce.
It has been a couple of years now, but I’d bet he’s still a ponce.
Typical…regurgitation of self indulgent tripe. I know several ID’s and none are half a repugnant as the creep.

In America we would call him a Douchebag. (On TBTL they’d call him a Diaperbag)
