ImageWorthy: A Visualization of the New York Times Newswire API
3 months ago
ImageWorthy takes the past 500 articles posted to the New York Times online and searches for articles which contain images. These images are only available in 75pixelx75pixel thumbnails, so to get around this limitation they are enlarged using a modified halftone pattern and shown at a large resolution. The images are also color averaged, creating a background color on which to display the halftoned images. Images can either be selected by hand or shown in slideshow mode. Really would be cool as a screensaver, maybe in the near future.
Not blurry at all in the real but a lot going on for screen capture to get perfectly.
Made with openFrameworks and the New York Times newswire API.

very inspiring. I just stared learning OF. It's good to see cool stuff like this for encouragement that all the learning of code etc will pay off eventually.
