This lesson explains how to manage / log the "way of payment" in the HandWallet Expense Manager app:
"How it was paid" section includes 3 fields- First one-the account. Use the drop down list to select the mean of payment used in this action. Use the "add new" at the bottom of the list if you need to add a new account.
You can always manage your accounts by pressing the "Data" tab, at the top of the screen, and then "Accounts".
The pay-type list is changed according to the account type. For example when you use a bank account you can pay by a check, by using the Internet, by using a standing order and so on. If you use a credit card, you will see different options, for example "electronic card reader" - which is the most common.
We also support historical manually card readers that are called "Manual card imprinters". It is very hard to find them these days, so if you find one let us know…
The last filed in the "how it was paid" section is the currency. All world currencies are in the list. If something is missing please let us know and we will add it to the next release. Meanwhile, you can add a currency that is not built in by pressing the "Data" tab at the top of the screen, and then "Financial data".
When you buy something in foreign currency HandWallet will automatically download the exchange rates for you. You can set a lot of parameters regarding the source of the exchange rates, commissions and much more in the advanced section.
