this particular wedding was shot on the 5D. As for DSLR rigs, i don't think we do!

It seems that you don't insert as many (if any) still photos in your videos as you did two years ago. Is it because the adaptors or 5D/7D produce video that is already photo-quality (colors, DOF, etc) so you don't need to "enhance" long-DOF video with lush still photos?

Why is everyone so hung up on equipment? This is an example of having amazing vision and skill in being able to tell a wedding story artistically. In short, its not the equipment.

that whole vision thing can be so cliche though. sure vision matters, and sure we can put too much value on the gear, but its not just the vision, the tools enable us to set our vision on fire.

"that whole vision thing can be so cliche though." -- It is interesting that you admit it. I watched a ton of your videos, and they indeed have pretty standard (for you) shots in them. Not all of the shots. Every video has one or two novelties, but most of the rest is pretty much the same. I guess there is only so many different shots that you can make when shooting a wedding. But with 5D/7D they look so much better ;-) How about my previous question, about inserting stills in videos?

it would make sense that our films would have a similar feel as it is the same creative team producing them. they are original in their content, storyline, and feel. our vision is a huge part of them as is our production value. it all matters in other words.

we leave stills out, for the most part, as they really need to add to the story and in the past we used them in places where they did not. we use them now more for portrait shoots where the intent of the shoot is to get images (in the photo sense) and so adding them adds to the content. 'their stories' often contain photos, as do small trailers form time to time.
