Three 52-ton trucks to carry, two days of installation, 56 hands to assemble ... and the giant living sculptures came alive at One Bryant Park in New York City. Designed by Wallace Roberts & Todd (wrtdesign.com), the massive permanent landscape sculptures, ranging from a 7' monolith to a 25' archway, were installed September 12-13 at street level of the Bank of America Tower. Composed of thousands of ferns, mosses and vines, the Urban Garden Room, open to the public as a respite from the street's hubbub, takes the green revolution into the realm of art and expression.
