The Cryoball can treat pain and inflammation in the Sacroiliac Joint. Movement of the SI Joint tends to be limited because it provides stability to allow humans to walk upright. Pain or inflammation can make it impossible to move.
Any injury here is referred to as SI joint syndrome. The injury can come from a motor vehicle accident, a direct fall on the buttocks, or even a blow to the side of your pelvis.
To treat the SI joint place the ball on the bed. Lay down with the cryoball right on your sore spot with the knee bent. Straighten the leg to help mobilize the joint. Bring the knee up to stretch. This allows for pressure on the trigger point.
