The Pamplona Bull Run takes place during the San Fermin Festival in Spain each year from the 6th to 14th July.

The running of the bulls is the highest profile part of the festival, and occurs every morning during which six bulls and six steer are released from a corral (a livestock pen), and the sound of a rocket lets runners know they can start to run in front of the bulls. Although it usually only lasts a few minutes, the run is a traumatic experience for the bulls, culminating in them being herded into a bullring where they will be killed in a bullfight later that day.
