I did this for fun to see what capabilities my '71 GMC longbox had in it's current form. A baseline test if you will. For fun, loads of fun. The performance driving school was put on by the SPDA and CASC-OR. The trucks suspension is a simple 4-6 drop with a front 1 1/4" sway bar and bell tech shocks - stock brakes - yup, rear drums and stock 24:1 manual steering. Nothing special. Power however, comes from a angry LS427/t56 combo.
What a blast and it handled waaaayyy better than expected.
