Shot video for family joke. The full-frame Nikon takes better video, but there are trade-offs. If you shoot with shallow depth of field, which is very nice, you need to manually focus, so you're going to need a rig. Full-frame has better color saturation than the Sony APS-C sensor. But the Nikon is a heavy, large, beast (compared to Nex). Unless you really need shallow depth of field for video, and have the patience to get, and keep, the camera in focus, a DSLR works against you. The first test video I did I shot at f/2.8 and couldn't tell that it was out of focus. If I end up doing video I'll have to get an external HDMI monitor for my old eyes. And who knows, even then, I might not see the focus properly.
