Sometimes learning is not confined to the classroom. Often the most memorable lessons are taught outside, on a rafting adventure. This short was filmed on an Adventures Without Limits rafting trip for the students at Mt. Scott Learning Center in Portland, Oregon.
We used two cameras for this shoot. One 5D Mk2 in a oar boat following the flotilla of rafts. At key points we would pull out and set up a shot below a set of rapids. The second camera we used was a GoPro Hero3 Black that was operated inside one of the rafts. We were able to capture some stunning slow motion footage with the GoPro's fast fps and waterproof housing.
Adventures Without Limits is a non-profit organization that has dedicated for more than 15 years to getting people outdoors to experience the amazing natural environment of the Pacific Northwest. They facilitate inclusive, outdoor adventure for people of all ages, incomes and ability levels.
