I've created this video to help advertise my Pozible project surrounding my upcoming photographic exhibition.

"I'm not entirely sure what to put here, so I suppose I'll just start writing and see where it takes me! I've been afforded the opportunity to have a photographic exhibition at the ArtHouse Hotel in Sydney, Australia. This is an incredibly big deal for me and I'm so excited to get a start on it.

I've been sick with a chronic illness called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis for 9 years and so I've never been well enough to work or study normally; most days I'm bed or housebound. Photography has been a wonderful outlet for me for the past 5 or so years, but it has been somewhat hard to pursue because of the limitations my health places on me. I think this exhibition is going to give me a wonderful chance to get my work seen and maybe make a small name for myself.

I'm very confident in my macro abilities and I have a lot of faith in these photos; I think the resulting exhibition will be beautiful and I can't wait to see it when it's finished. One reason I'm so fond of macro photography is that it gives people the opportunity to see parts of the world they otherwise would have missed. For that reason I'm going to be printing the photos for this exhibition at a very large size; I feel like it's quite a novel thing to be able to see a ladybug at 20 times its usual size and look at all its tiny details.

"To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour..."
- William Blake

The exhibition will be primarily cherry blossoms accompanied by various other vibrant macro pieces. I've wanted to do a cherry blossom exhibit for a number of years and this seemed like the perfect instance to do so. I love the fragility and beauty of cherry blossoms, how they appear for a week or two at a time and then disappear as suddenly as they came. I think 10 of them hung in a room together will look amazing.

I'm not asking for the full amount to cover my exhibition with this project, but just enough to help me do it without rendering me completely broke. Here's a rough break-down of the budget-

- $1200 towards 21 photo frames
- $900 towards 21 metallic photographic prints
- $360 towards 18 photo mattes
- $600 towards the booking fee for the gallery space
